Well I said that I will post every Tue at 9am but, the truth is my mind is a blank. I will take the advice of top bloggers and just blog until something comes to me. I am sitting at the Travel Centers of America truck stop in Whitestown, IN taking a 10 hour break. Did you know that truck drivers are only allowed to drive for 11 hours in a 14 period? When the 11 hours are up we are required to take a 10 hour rest break.
My main goal is to make enough money to come off the road and devote full time to internet marketing. Let's talk about goal setting, Just about anybody can write down 10 goals but, the question is are they smart goals? The reason most people don't reach their goals are because they are not Smart goals.
S.M.A.R.T GOALS
1. Specific - Consider who, what, when, where, why and how in developing the goal.
2. Measurable - Include a numeric or descriptive measurement.
3. Achievable - Consider the resources needed and set a realistic goal.
4. Relevant - Make sure the goal is consistent with the mission.
5. Time-bound - Set a realistic deadline.
Let's take my above goal and turn it into a smart goal.: Instead of - My main goal is to make enough money to come off the road and devote full time to internet marketing.
A Smart goal would read like this:
Goal #1
By February 1st 2016 I will increased my online revenue to $62,000 dollars a year by working 10 hours a week on income producing activities. After making $1292.00 per week for 4 weeks - On March 1st 2016 I will fire my boss and spend full time on my home based business.
Does this make sense to you? This goal gives me a time frame and a way to measure my progress. Try applying this procedure to your goals and watch the difference in the way you approach them.
